Mlo kamili kwa mtoto wa miezi 12 kwa ukuaji wa kawaida
Mtoto wa miezi 12 anahitaji lishe yenye mchanganyiko wa vyakula mbalimbali vinavyomsaidia kukua vizuri, kuwa na nguvu, na kuimarisha kinga yake. Katika umri huu, mtoto anaweza kula vyakula vilivyopikwa vizuri ambavyo vina mchanganyiko wa protini, wanga, mafuta, vitamini na madini. Pia anaendelea kunyonyesha maziwa ya mama au maziwa ya ng’ombe yaliyochemshwa kwa kiasi kidogo.

Maelekezo muhimu
Uji wa lishe: Changanya unga wa mahindi, mtama, ulezi, au mchele na ongeza mafuta bora (alizeti, ufuta, nazi).
Mafuta bora: Ongeza kijiko 1 cha mafuta bora kwenye milo ya mtoto.
Mboga za majani: Safisha vizuri, pika mpaka laini, na zipondwe kabla ya kumpa mtoto.
Samaki/dagaa: Punguza mifupa midogo vizuri ili kuepuka hatari.
Mayai: Chemsha vizuri, toa robo hadi nusu kwa siku.
Nyama: Kuku, nyama nyembamba zilishe kwa kiasi kidogo.
Matunda: Toa matunda laini kama papai, parachichi, embe, au pawpaw.
Endelea kunyonyesha maziwa ya mama au kumpa maziwa ya ng’ombe yaliyochemshwa kidogo.
Vidokezo kwa wazazi
Hakikisha chakula kimepondwa vizuri kulingana na uwezo wa mtoto.
Mtoto apate milo 3-4 mikubwa kwa siku na vitafunwa 1-2.
Tumia vyombo safi na mikono safi wakati wa kumpa mtoto chakula.
Mpe mtoto muda wa kula, usimlisha kwa haraka.
Epuka vyakula vyenye chumvi, sukari na vyakula vya viwandani.
Endelea kunyonyesha maziwa ya mama mara 3-5 kwa siku.

Mtoto wa miezi 12 anahitaji lishe yenye mchanganyiko wa vyakula vya kutosha kwa afya na ukuaji wake. Lishe hii inapaswa kuandaliwa kwa usafi na kumpa mtoto muda wa kula vizuri.
