Albendazole ni dawa ya kunywa jamii ya benzimidazole yenye uwezo wa kutibu minyoo aina mbalimbali kwa binadamu na wanyama kama vile minyoo 'Tapeworm', 'Taenia solium' na lava 'Echinococcus granulosus'.


Tafiti za wanyama zinaonyesha dawa hii endapo itatumika katika kipindi cha kwanza cha ujauzito husababisha madhaifu ya kuumbaji katika viungo vya siri. Kuna taarifa chache kuhusu matumizi kwa binadamu mjamzito, hivyo matumizi katika kipindi cha kwanza cha ujauzito hayashauriwi mpaka pale taarifa zaidi zitakapopatikana.
