Aina za kisukari
Kujua aina ya kisukari kinachokusumbua husaidia kufungua njia kwenye matibabu yako, kwa kuwezesha kufanya maamuzi ya kujua utumie dawa na kama kutumia dawa ni dawa gani unatakiwa kutumia.
Tatizo sugu la kisukari limegawanyika katika sehemu mbili, kisukari cha kupanda aina ya 1 na cha aina ya 2 (DM1 na DM2)
Kipo kisukari kinachotokea wakati wa ujauzito ambacho huitwa “kisukari cha ujauzito”, kisukari hiki huweza kuisha baada ya ujauzito au huweza kuendelea baada ya ujauzito lakini huwa katika kundi la aina ya kisukari kinachoweza kuonekana kwenye mkojo. Kisukari aina ya 1
Kisukari aina ya kwanza ni ugonjwa unaotokana na kushindwa kuzalishwa kwa homoni ya insulin kwa sababu ya kuharibiwa kwa chembe hai ndani ya kongosho zinazotengeneza homoni hii, chembe chembe za kinga ya mwili wa mtu huhusika kufanya uharibifu huu kwa asilimia 90 ya wagonjwa. Asilimia 10 ya wagonjwa sababu bado hazijulikani .
Uhalibifu wa kinga za mwili unaweza kusababishwa na sababu mablimbali zikiwezo za kijeni(ambapo hutokea kwa robo ya wagonjwa tu) au za kimazingira kama maambukizi ya virusi vya rubella, Mumps na Cocksackie virus B. Pia inasemekana matumizi ya maziwa ya ng’ombe mapema zaidi, mtoto anapozaliwa
Kisukari aina hii huanza utotoni, kwa asilimia zaidi ya 80 lakini unaweza kuanza pia kwenye umri wa miaka 30 au 40.
Kisukari aina ya kwanza kimeonekana kuhusianishwa na maambukizi ya kirusi cha enterovirus kwa kuwa watoto wengi walioonekana kuwa na maambukizi haya huko taiwan walikuwa na kisukari aina ya kwanza kwa kiwango kikubwa ukilinganisha na watoto ambao hawakuathiriwa na virusi hao.
